Transparent

Any conditions that affect scope get communicated immediately — no surprises at invoice time.

Our Site Prep Process

Good site prep is what lets the rest of a build go smoothly. A pad that isn't grubbed properly settles; a grade that doesn't drain sends water at the foundation; a soft access road strands the concrete truck. Middle Tennessee adds its own challenges — rocky limestone subsoil, wooded sloped lots, and counties that each have their own erosion-control rules. We work from your site plan and sequence the whole job so your builder gets a stable, buildable, inspection-ready pad on schedule.

1. Review the site plan

We start from your builder's site plan and survey, confirm property lines and setbacks, and identify grading targets, drainage, and access before any machine moves.

2. Clear & grub

We remove trees, brush, and organic material, then grub out roots and topsoil so the pad sits on stable ground instead of material that will settle.

3. Rough grade & cut-and-fill

We move material to establish the specified grade and drainage slope, balancing cut and fill so the pad sheds water away from the future structure.

4. Access & staging

We establish a stable access road and staging area so concrete, framing, and delivery trucks can reach the site without getting stuck.

5. Erosion control

Where county code requires it, we handle silt fence, seeding, and other erosion measures so the site passes inspection and doesn't wash.

6. Builder handoff

We hand off a clean, builder-ready pad and communicate exactly what's done so your next crew can start without guesswork.

Equipment & Capabilities

We run a compact track loader with a full set of attachments, which lets one operator move seamlessly from clearing to grubbing to rough grading without waiting on multiple machines. The tracks handle the soft, rain-soaked ground and slopes common on Middle Tennessee build sites, and the quick-attach system keeps the job moving so your builder's schedule holds.

  • Forestry & brush attachments for clearing
  • Root rake and grubbing bucket for organic removal
  • Grading bucket and box blade for cut-and-fill
  • Grapple for debris and material handling
  • Tracked machine for slopes and soft ground

What Affects the Cost

We quote each project after reviewing the site plan and walking the lot. These factors set the price:

  • Lot size and total area to prep
  • Clearing volume and tree density
  • Amount of cut-and-fill grading required
  • Terrain, slope, and rocky subsoil
  • Access road and staging needs
  • Erosion control required by county code
  • Debris and spoil handling
